We are seeking an Associate Director to oversee our infrastructure and security operations. In this vital position, you will ensure the efficient functioning of Cobalt's IT infrastructure while maintaining high-security standards. Your expertise will be pivotal in creating and sustaining processes, providing recommendations on vendors, services, hardware, and software, and addressing escalated issues.

At Cobalt, we specialize in providing agile implementations of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) and our own products built on the D365 platform. The success of our D365 implementations and products heavily relies on the robustness of our infrastructure and security practices. As the Associate Director, your contributions will be vital to the overall success of our technical solutions, ensuring that our infrastructure and security processes are aligned with our clients' business objectives.

What You’ll Do:
  • Manage Operations: Oversee operations, patching, and maintenance to ensure smooth and efficient infrastructure performance.
  • Monitor and Resolve Issues: Tackle escalated issues and monitor key performance indicators to maintain a robust and stable infrastructure.
  • Drive Automation and Modernization: Lead initiatives for automation and modernization, staying at the forefront of technological advancements.
  • Align with Industry Standards: Establish programs that align Cobalt with industry security frameworks and compliance standards.
  • Stay Ahead of Threats: Keep current with industry trends, threats, and best practices to protect our systems from evolving security risks.
  • Ensure 24x7 Support: Manage on-call support and emergency responses to ensure IT system reliability and security around the clock.
  • Support High Availability: Ensure high availability, redundancy, backups, and performance across all environments.
  • Design Essential Processes: Implement key processes to ensure seamless IT operations and maintain high-security standards, shaping the backbone of our environment.
  • Set Priorities and Make Decisions: Define priorities, resolve conflicts, and make strategic decisions that drive the company forward in IT maturation.
  • Create Insightful Reports: Develop reports to help management understand staffing needs, infrastructure performance, and resource alignment.
  • Achieve Strategic Goals: Identify and accomplish actionable goals that advance our infrastructure and security practices.

What We’re Offering:
The Associate Director of Infrastructure & Security position pays an annual salary of $170,000 with the opportunity to make up to 10% more in annual performance-based bonuses.

What You’ll Need:
  • A four-year degree from an accredited institution
  • Proven experience in IT infrastructure management and security
  • Firsthand experience in troubleshooting IT systems and completing projects
  • Strong understanding of industry best practices and security frameworks
  • Ability to reliably travel to and from our data center and office locations on demand
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and task management skills
  • Fluency in English (written and oral)
  • Experience in vendor management and budget oversight
  • Leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop team members
  • A proactive approach to staying current with industry trends and technologies

Where You’ll Work:
Cobalt has adopted a hybrid remote work policy in order to continue fostering our company culture of teamwork and collaboration. All employees are expected to work a minimum of 30 days per quarter at Cobalt’s office in Arlington, VA.
