About the Position
Cobalt is currently looking to grow our sales team by adding an individual contributor with a track record of proven sales success. This position is perfect for someone with experience in or looking to make the leap to, selling complex technology solutions to c-suite executives. We’re looking for someone who is hungry to win every deal, who doesn’t mind doing a bit of prospecting (with the support of a Business Development Representative), and who takes pride in helping clients solve real-world business problems with technology.

The Account Executive will lead new customer acquisition efforts in Cobalt’s commercial market, with a primary focus on selling Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions to small-to-midsized businesses. As a Microsoft Gold Partner, Cobalt has over 15 years of experience selling, configuring, and customizing Dynamics 365 to meet the needs of partners across multiple industries and verticals. The Account Executive will be responsible for bringing to life how Microsoft’s enterprise-grade CRM platform can empower SMBs to meet their sales + marketing goals and revenue growth potential.

We’re growing and we’re looking for talented sellers who can grow with us. This position is part of the Product Management, Sales, & Marketing department and reports to Cobalt’s Director of Sales. Cobalt mandates that all employees are vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus therefore if hired, candidates would be required to provide proof of vaccination.

Primary Duties
  • Work with a Business Development Representative to hone a prospecting strategy for lead generation, while also contributing to the prospecting engine.
  • Develop and manage a pipeline of short-cycle and more complex, longer-cycle opportunities.
  • Conduct initial product demos, liaise with our consulting department to develop proposals, and deliver tailored demonstrations to prospects.
  • Work with Cobalt leadership to analyze potential deals and nurture them through the negotiation and closing process.
  • Coordinate with the marketing and product teams to provide feedback based on interaction with prospective customers.
  • Actively engage customers and partners in our target markets through online communities, networking events, and conferences.
  • Invest in and learn about new Microsoft Dynamics features that can benefit SMB partners.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Fluency in English (written and oral)
  • Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills
  • Organizational and task management skills
  • Great personality (patient, upbeat, friendly, and professional)
  • Passion. Drive. Sales Discipline.
  • 1-3 years of proven success in a competitive sales environment
